Svendborg Brakes was already at an early stage involved in the
design of the 5M from REpower, which is a 5 MW pitch controlled
wind turbine with a rotor diameter of 126 m.
Svendborg Brakes equips this turbine with 2 x BSAK 3000 rotor
brakes, 8 x BSAB 120 brakes for the yaw system and 2 x ROLO® rotor
lock system as well as 3 independent hydraulic PU's for the rotor
and yaw braking respectively the rotor lock systems.
